home stretch
August 27, 2019
A lace Faroese shawl that was causing me anxiety suddenly enters the (long yet) home stretch.
I fretted that I’d run out of yarn and/or end up with a shawl that was less capacious than I hoped. The yarn shop told me they couldn’t order more of that yarn, but I discovered it at a little yarn shop online, one that sent a free emery board with my order.
I breathe easier knowing I have enough yarn.
I discover that my chart is cut off so that it’s missing two stitches on the right side of row 18 and again on row 10 of another pattern stitch.
No wonder I was having to apply adjustments to the edge stitches on row 1 of the next repeats!
Knitting snarls have been worked out. That’s something.
